Running and Winning

Posted by Barlow Keener

Robert Cheruiyot Every day we run to win.    Today in Boston Kenyan Robert Cheruiyot won the Boston Marathon with a time of 2:14.   If you take a look at this photo you can see the Robert Cheruiyot with the #1 in orange shirt at mile 23 in on Beacon Street in Brookline  with 1:58 into the race by my camera’s clock.   Robert Cheruiyot

At times the rest of the pack - thousands of runners - was so far behind the front runners you could look down Beacon Street for a half a mile see nothing but empty pavement.  That is what it is like to be #1.

Running

But sometimes just running and finishing is thrilling.
